Star Wars Party: The Republic's Galactic Gala

If you're a Star Wars film fanatic like me, nothing, and I do mean nothing, makes your heart gallop like hearing the main title song in the opening to Star Wars blasting in your ears in surround sound.

You are also probably one of the people who jumped online the millisecond ticket sales opened for The Force Awakens and broke the Internet. Didn't stop me from getting center-row seats, IMAX in 3-D for opening night. Just sayin' ...

With all of this excitement and eagerness busting at the seams from everything like the new movie trailers causing frenzies of theories on why Luke isn't shown and parents nostalgically recalling being witness to cinematic history, claiming bragging rights of being able to see the original in theaters and even Disneyland converted Space Mountain into Hyperspace Mountain, we thought it would be a blast to throw a party to celebrate all things Star Wars! Why not!?

Join us at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Gringo-Star Street Bar on Mill Avenue in Tempe for a Star Wars party of galactic proportions!

While we can't quite fly you to the Mos Eisley Cantina, we can invite you to come out in your best costume or Star Wars clothes and enjoy a night of themed drinks such as lightsaber cocktails, appetizers, unlimited free-play arcade games (because Gringo-Star rocks), a Q&A with film critic Bill Goodykoontz, a costume contest, out-of-this-world photo ops with props by Nerdy Girl photography and special appearances by characters from the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs and The Dark Empire and a performance by Syndicate Saber.

We'll also be giving away stellar swag to celebrate the new film courtesy of Samurai Comics!
